School bus evacuation procedures should be practiced on a regular basis, at least once a month, to ensure that students and staff are familiar with the procedures and can perform them correctly in case of an emergency. Practicing only at the beginning of the school year (option D) may not be enough to keep the procedures fresh in people's minds throughout the year. Weekly practice (option A) may be too frequent and can interfere with other important activities. Bi-annual practice (option C) may not be enough, as students may forget or become complacent with the procedures over time. Thus, option B is the best choice, providing a balance between regular practice and not disrupting the school schedule too much.
